Things to do in Myrtle Beach with Kids: Paradise Resort Kids Club!
Kids love swimming in the pool and heading down to the beach, but sometimes on a Myrtle Beach vacation, even the most dedicated kid swimmers want to do something a little different. When it’s time for a change of pace and you’re looking for things to do in Myrtle Beach with children, it’s time to check out what the Paradise Resort Kids Club has in store!
Beginning in the first week in June, the kids club at Paradise Resort will start up every weekday at 10 a.m., with signups starting at 9 a.m. Activities will run throughout the day, with a break for lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m., and resume until late afternoon, between 3 and 5 p.m. The activities vary, so check the schedule when you arrive.
Expect fun activities like horseshoes on the beach; arts and crafts such as painting birdhouses, decorating visors, or painting shells; scavenger hunts; balloon toss on the beach; badminton; musical towels on the beach and so much more!
Many activities are free, but for those that require supplies, such as with T-shirt decorating, there may be a small fee, generally $2 to $5.
“It’s very affordable and we charge only to recoup the cost,” said Julie Crawford, admin at Paradise Resort. “On Fridays we close the day with build-your-own ice cream sundaes, and those are $3.”
That’s less than you’d pay at an ice cream shop!
The kids club is open to children aged 5-12. Parents are not required to stay on the premises during the kids club, which means that both parents and kids can enjoy a little freedom.
“The kids really enjoy it. I mean, if you’re here for a week, you can only do so much swimming,” Crawford said. “So it gives the parents a break, and it gives the kids a break where they can do something different and fun.”
