Many restaurants opening along the Grand Strand makes is hard for our guests here at the Paradise Resort to pick where to go.  One new location, called 44+King, located at 44th Avenue North and Kings Highway.

Known as a southern pub and specializes in pairing its high-end, Southern-influenced food fare with the perfect match from a wide rage of on-tap craft brews and wines.

The menu is loaded with Southern and Lowcountry comfort foods, often featuring a creative twist — such as dishes the likes of sweet tea-flavored collard greens, chicken & waffles, and chicken bog dipped in a sweet cornbread batter, then deep-fried on a stick — as well as meat and cheese boards, barbecue offerings like brisket and ribs, seafood dishes like crab legs and smoked fish, from-the-grill items like burgers, ribeyes and filet mignons, and more.

On the liquid side of the equation, 44 & King offers 16 beer taps, six wine taps and an array of made-to-order specialty cocktails. The draft beer offerings largely focus on regional brews, including familiar South Carolina favorites like Myrtle Beach’s New South Brewing, Florence’s Local Motive Brewing, Charleston’s Palmetto Brewing and Holy City Brewing, Greenville’s Thomas Creek Brewery and Quest Brewing, Spartanburg’s RJ Rockers Brewing, and Rock Hill’s Legal Remedy Brewing.

The restaurant/pub features both indoor and outdoor seating, with the latter offered under the shade of the site’s old-growth oak trees. Live entertainment is also presented regularly at 44 & King.
