We know that the biggest attraction for visitors to Myrtle Beach’s Paradise Resort is our gorgeous Atlantic Ocean coastline. However, we also know that great dining is always a top priority among vacationers. To help in this department, we’ve put together a few guidelines for our guests. We want you to be able to easily find restaurants close to Paradise Resort that both offer exceptional meals and fit within your budget.

For guests who are on the go – maybe hoping to dine between experiencing some of the Grand Strand’s many exciting attractions or looking to grab a bite before relaxing in their comfortable accommodations at the end of a busy beach day – we have a few excellent suggestions for restaurants that are close by and won’t break the bank. The Barrel Sports Bar & Grill is a definite home run for budget-minded vacationers, and it isn’t lacking in taste or proximity. Found on South Kings Highway (otherwise known as Business 17), the restaurant is just blocks from the Paradise Resort. Known to locals as just “The Barrel,” it offers typical American fare that is well prepared and reasonably priced.

Another budget-friendly nearby option is Spring Garden Pancake House, which is about half a mile down the road from the resort on Ocean Boulevard. Spring Garden is best known for its breakfast specials, large portions and Southern hospitality.

If you’re willing to spend a little more time and money on a few of your meals (without totally breaking the bank), we have a couple more excellent suggestions for you in the vicinity. A longtime favorite of locals and returning vacationers is Angelo’s Steak and Pasta. Located on the south end of Kings Highway, Angelo’s is only half a mile from your home base of Paradise Resort. The restaurant’s claim to fame is “The Greatest Steaks in the Universe,” and they take that title very seriously. Steak, however, is not the only option on the menu. Here, you will also find the area’s finest all-you-can-eat Italian buffet. You cannot make a bad decision with Angelo’s menu.

Another can’t-miss nearby choice in the casual dining group is Thorny’s, a steakhouse and saloon located about 1.5 miles north of Paradise Resort. Your menu options here range from burgers, ribs and sandwiches to steaks, prime rib and seafood, all very reasonably priced and served in a casual atmosphere. This family-friendly restaurant also offers a Kid’s Zone with games, rides and a play area, so it will absolutely be a hit for the younger ones you bring along.

We all deserve to treat ourselves every now and then, and there is no better time to splurge than while on vacation. For these elegant meals, we have a couple more close by suggestions for you. First on our list a restaurant about 3 miles north of Paradise Resort called The Library, where they have been serving their guests in style since 1974. Here, you will enjoy tableside service from a tuxedoed wait staff. The tasty menu options range from escargot to rack of lamb, and all meals are served in an atmosphere worthy of the upscale creations. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Another fine-dining option to spoil yourself with while you here at the beach is The Melting Pot. Once you have dined at this restaurant, located about 6 miles north of Paradise Resort, you will understand why they say it’s not just a meal, but an experience. This is four-course dining fondue style, and it is exceptional. The service is also top-notch, so you won’t be disappointed.

These are just a few of the incredible restaurants in the vicinity of Paradise Resort. While you are staying with us, don’t hesitate to ask for suggestions or recommendations. At the oceanfront Paradise Resort, we are always happy to make our guests’ stays feel like a visit to paradise.
