Everyone LOVES Donuts – Myrtle Beach Has Some of the Best!

If you are heading to Myrtle Beach for your family vacation and want to splurge a little with some tasty sweet treats, how about some flavorful donuts?  Of course you can grab a bite to eat from our on-property Sandals Restaurant, but if you want to tempt your tastebuds, try they great places for some of the best donuts around town.

Donut Man: There are plenty of national chain stores in the Myrtle Beach area (Spoiler alert: There initials are DD and KK), but there’s only one Donut Man. Located on Kings Highway in the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach, Donut Man serves up sweet treats around the clock. Offering a wide variety of donuts, bear claws, crullers and cream-filled pastries, Donut Man is your 24-hour, one-stop shop for sweet snacks. Donut Man also has a breakfast menu of sandwiches and an array of coffees.

Dunkin’ Donuts: This national chain recently decided to officially drop the “Donuts” from its title, but we all know what’s still sitting there behind the counter – donuts, and lots of them. Don’t let the name change fool you: Some marketing guru thought it would be a good idea to highlight all the many options available on the menu, but the fine folks at DD still do what they do best. Many of the local Dunkin’ stores share space with Baskin Robbins for those in your party craving ice cream.

Krispy Kreme: Here’s another national chain that has multiple outlets on the Grand Strand, and their “Hot Now” neon sign serves as a beacon for folks looking for donuts fresh from the deep fryer. If you’ve never had a hot donut sripping with glaze or chocolate, it’s like eating a fluffly cloud filled with sugar. Of course, Krispy Kreme offers a wide selection of sweets and treats and many of the outlets are open late to satisfy your late-night sweet tooth.

Kwik-E-Mart: You don’t have to go to the fictional town of Springfield to find the donuts featured on “The Simpsons”; the short drive to Broadway at the Beach will do. The new Simpsons in 4D attraction features a functioning replica of the Kwik-E-Mart where Homer goes to chow down on the signature Lard Lad Donuts. The real-life version of these cartoon creations are massive, like a half-dozen donuts formed into one. Wash it down with some Buzz Cola.

Peace, Love & Little Donuts: For a totally groovy and far out experience, check out this regional chain at The Market Common. Featuring a wide assortment of unique donuts and pastry, Peace, Love & Little Donuts serves miniature-sized donuts that are big on flavor. Choose from a lineup of Groovy, Far Out and Funkadelic flavors, including donuts topped with M&Ms, Maple Bacon, S’mores and Sprinkles that are sure to help you find your inner-hippie.

Pawleys Island: The short drive is worth the trip for these tasty creations, which include some unique flavors like Double Chocolate Ganache, Pumpkin Spice, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Mud Pie and the Elvis, a house special topped with The King’s favorite flavors – banana, peanut butter and topped with bacon.

Enjoy them all week as you can bring them back to your oceanfront condo and share with the entire family.  You might even be crowned hero.
