Damon’s Grill — This oceanfront favorite at 2985 South Ocean Boulevard has one of the best views of any restaurant on the Grand Strand. With a large bar area, outdoor seating and expansive views of the Atlantic — even from the indoor tables — you cannot go wrong. Damon’s even offers free valet parking. While they are known for their delicious ribs, there is much more great food on the menu, so bring your appetite. While waiting to be seated, be sure to enjoy a cocktail and take in the view on the expansive, wide deck.
Bummz on the Beach — Located at 2002 North Ocean Boulevard, this tiny, tucked-away gem is a favorite of anyone who has been. Previously a beach cottage, Bummz was converted into an oasis for beach-goers over 20 years ago, and it still retains that quaint, beach house feel when you walk in the door. Nestled between resorts, the establishment would be easy to miss if you weren’t looking for it. Once you step onto the tiered deck, you are free to take one of the best seats on the Boulevard overlooking the dunes and beach. Bummz has both indoor and outdoor bar areas, hosts weekly karaoke, and even maintains an area for cornhole competitions. All of this and a great selection of food and drinks makes this destination what vacation is all about.
LandShark Bar & Grill —LandShark is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach at the base of the SkyWheel at 110 North Ocean Boulevard. If you like ocean breezes, beachfront views, great food and good beach music, then this is the place to be. The menu is American with a coastal vibe. LandShark is open for lunch and dinner, with both having distinct atmospheres. After dark, visitors can enjoy the light show provided by the SkyWheel, the sounds of the ocean and the many performers that may be found along the Boardwalk.
2nd Avenue Pier — The name tells you exactly where to find this piece of Heaven. Located above the 2nd Avenue Pier in Myrtle Beach, this establishment actually offers two destinations — and each is superb with its own style and ambiance. The first is the restaurant, which is located on the second floor. Enclosed with panoramic views of the coastline, it offers a menu of seafood as well as one of the best burgers you’ll ever try. Your other option for dining is on the third floor, which hosts the Pier View Open Air Bar. This is unlike anything else in Myrtle Beach. The bar is completely open on three sides, with indoor and outdoor seating available. The views are spectacular to say the least, and with couch-and-ottoman outdoor seating, you may never want to leave. The indoor area offers fun, beach-themed décor with a working fireplace. Don’t let the word “bar” deter you. This is a very family-friendly area with a great menu that the kids will enjoy as well. This is the place to sit back and relax — you’re on vacation!
