The Breakers is proud to announce a new addition to its long list of amenities — Strong Waters Craft Cocktails & Kitchen. Opening March 10 between the on-site Papa's restaurant and Starbucks cafe, Strong Waters brings the craft cocktail and cuisine trend directly to our guests at The Breakers Resort and visitors and locals in Myrtle Beach.

Offering a wide selection of mixed drinks, wines and draft beers, Strong Waters also offers a taste of the vibe and atmosphere that can be found in the craft cocktail lounges of Charleston and other major cities. The newly designed space features a unique rustic-yet-polished feel, with a spacious wraparound bar serving as the focal point of the venue.

The bar is where Strong Waters’ experienced staff of mixologists entertain patrons with their skills while serving some of the tastiest drinks in town. The “farm to shaker” philosophy held at Strong Waters means the mixologists will utilize the freshest local ingredients and top-shelf brands of liquor to create colorful and flavorful craft cocktails before your very eyes.

Strong Waters' eclectic drink menu features four categories to match your mood: Day Drinking (the Hair of the Dog Bloody Mary includes “everything but the kitchen sink.”), Light and Interesting (the Hornet's Nest incorporates smoked honey and citrus), Crisp and Boozy (the Peach Tea Julep uses South Carolina's own Palmetto White Lightning moonshine), and From the Barrel (featuring in-house, oak-barrel aged liquors with special ingredients). Or take your taste buds for a flavorful tour by choosing a couple of adjectives from the Bartender's Choice list (Sweet, Savory, Smoky, Spicy, Sweet, etc.) for a real surprise.

For those who prefer wine and beer, Strong Waters has you covered. The extensive wine list features some of the most popular brands by the glass or bottle, and the 12 rotating beer taps provide hard-to-find craft beers that include some of South Carolina's best-kept secrets. Strong Waters also features two in-house, barrel-aged cocktails served seasonally.

Nothing goes better with a Strong Waters beverage than something from the hand-crafted food menu, which is filled with favorites from the land and sea. Snack on fried green tomatoes, Cajun cheddar popcorn, and house-made pork cracklins and potato chips. The seafood lineup offers ahi tuna, fresh oysters and mussels, and peel-and-eat shrimp, while the “land food” options include Soul Rolls like Southern-style chicken and beef brisket Reubens.

Enjoy a meat-and-cheese board or other tasty selections, and wash them down with a craft cocktail or brew while you relax in luxurious seating areas, at high-top tables or on cozy bar stools. A few stations even offer a view of the ocean between The Breakers’ towers. Large tables for dining are available for those celebrating special occasions, such as wedding parties and group outings.

Strong Waters Craft Cocktails & Kitchen provides one more food and beverage option for folks staying at The Breakers. Enjoy a nice family meal at Papa’s or The Rusty Reel, or go for refreshments at the on-site Starbucks or Ben & Jerry’s. Now, Strong Waters provides the perfect place for those who don't like to travel far to taste the good things in life. No matter your mood for food and drinks, The Breakers Resort in Myrtle Beach has the cure.
