Vacation means relaxation. It’s a time to kick back without worries or deadlines and just enjoy the moment with friends and family, especially here in Myrtle Beach.

There are countless ways to enjoy your vacation, and one great way to start your evening off right is with a little happy hour. Keep in mind that since this is your vacation, your happy hours should be extra special and a little happier than your run-of-the-mill post-workday drink at home. To help you find the best, we’ve compiled a list of the top happy hour locations along the beach. May deciding which ones to try be the toughest decision you face on your vacation with us at Paradise Resort.

Fiesta Del Burro Loco is located in central Myrtle Beach on the Highway 17 Bypass, right across from Myrtle Waves. Not only is this a longtime favorite of vacationers, but it is a locals’ favorite as well. Featuring a long list of delicious Mexican appetizers on its menu, Fiesta Del Burro Loco also offers a nearly endless list of tequilas to choose from, so you won’t go thirsty. Margaritas by the glass or pitcher, draft beer pitchers, and $4 pizzas are a few of the temptations you’ll find here to get your night started right. The happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. daily, and rotating daily specials are also offered. Visit Fiesta Del Burro Loco online at burroloco.rest/happenings to find the lineup of specials you just can’t resist.

Liberty Taproom can be found on Kings Hwy at 76th Avenue in Northwood Plaza. This is a favorite of many locals and is a bit of a well-kept secret from vacationers, so don’t expect your usual tourist crowd here. Do, however, expect to find friendly staff, incredible New South Brewing selections and drink specials that will have you wanting to return more than once during your stay. There are also $5 and $7 appetizer options that are so scrumptious and large in portion that they far exceed your typical happy hour fare. If you are a fan of pretzels, their house-made soft pretzels are the best on the beach, and their queso and ale mustard is simply perfection. Happy hour is from 4 to 7 p.m. daily, and they also have many daily specials (including a raw bar!) that you will want to check out and possibly pair with your evening at the Tap Room.

This is your vacation. That means you’ll likely want to take in the local sights and flavors, even during happy hour. To enjoy stunning Intracoastal Waterway views at the Grande Dunes Marina and one of the most gorgeous sunsets on the Strand, the Anchor Café at Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is the place to be. Their happy hour is held weekdays from 4 to 6 p.m. The attire is beach casual, and the menu features everything from decadent burgers to a wide selection of appetizers and deliciously fresh salads. Their extensive drink menu is one you’ll want to explore while overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.

You are at the beach — which means seafood, and lots of it! If oysters, shrimp and an ocean view are on your list of happy hour must-haves, then you’ll want to put Dirty Don’s Oyster Bar and Grill on your agenda. Dirty Don’s has two locations, one on 21st Avenue North and another on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Both offer the same happy hour specials, and you can’t go wrong with any of their menu selections. Their specialty drinks are ones you’ll be telling your friends back home about. Happy hour at Dirty Don’s is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Now that you have your list in hand, you are ready to take charge of the start of your vacation evenings with the best happy-hour choices Myrtle Beach offers. All of these restaurants are conveniently located in Myrtle Beach proper, so you won’t be traveling too far from your Paradise Resort home. Enjoy, and be happy and safe!
