Need more reasons to think green? The luck of the Irish has put St. Patrick’s Day squarely in the middle of spring break season! And lucky guests at North Beach Plantation will be in a great spot to enjoy the fabulous fun of the 29th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in North Myrtle Beach on Main Street.

This rain-or-shine event will be held on Saturday, March 11, with a parade that will travel through North Myrtle Beach’s Main Street area. The parade starts at 9 a.m., so be sure to arrive early for a good spot along the parade route.

And the parade is just the beginning of a full day of fun and excitement!

Main Street will feature approximately 150 vendors stretched along the half-mile between Ash Street and Ocean Boulevard. Stroll at your leisure to examine the wares and services of local businesses, and treat yourself to a wide variety of food and drink. There will also be an Irish Beer Garden, where you can refresh yourself with the requisite green beer and toast the health of St. Patrick!

The festival will include live entertainment all day long on three stages. Get into the Irish spirit with performances by the Triple Toe Cloggers and the Conway Celtic Pipers, and don’t miss the contests for the best leprechaun and the most voracious shepherd’s pie eater! Other performances will include a dance presentation from the North Myrtle Beach School of Performing Arts and music by Barleyjuice and Band on the Rum.

There will also be a special children’s area where the kiddos can work off some energy and have some child-appropriate St. Patrick’s Day fun. There will be carnival rides and games, pony and camel rides, a petting zoo, and a bounce house, as well as their own entertainment stage!

The festival runs until 4 p.m. and admission is absolutely free! You won’t find a better deal for a day full of family-friendly entertainment.

Add that extra touch of St. Patrick’s Day green to your spring break with a stay at North Beach Plantation and a day at the North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival!
