There are two kinds of seafood lovers: Those who will try anything from the ocean as long as it is fried, broiled, grilled or baked, and those who prefer it straight from the sea. We're talking about sushi, of course, and those who love their seafood on the very rare side have just as many options in Myrtle Beach as those who like the Calabash-style buffets. Here are our top 10 places to get sushi in Myrtle Beach:

21 Main: This North Beach Plantation establishment is known for its steaks, but it also offers one of the best sushi bars on the Grand Strand. Featuring creative combinations of rolls, 21 Main provides the perfect surf-and-turf opportunity with sushi and a dry-aged prime cut of beef.

Art Burger Sushi Bar: This downtown oceanfront cafe may sound a bit odd, but the combination of an art gallery, burger joint and sushi bar is a hit among locals and tourists. Featuring the works of local artists on the walls, this place serves delicious burgers and sushi for parties with diverse taste buds.

Co Sushi: This new Market Common pan-Asian eatery also brings a new selection of sushi to the table. Offering a wide selection of Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes to go with its diverse sushi menu, this upscale outlet also introduced the Sushi Sandwich to the Strand.

Indo Thai: The name says it all for this locally owned and operated eatery in the Grande Dunes. Featuring an extensive menu of Indian and Thai cuisine, the sushi menu is the highlight of the meal. Happy hour has discounted sushi and drinks.

King Kong Sushi: This Broadway at the Beach location lives up to its billing. King Kong serves monster-sized rolls perfect for sharing among large parties, as well as a hibachi menu for those who aren't in the mood for sushi. There's one in Carolina Forest too if you happen to be out that way.

Mr. Fish: This local hot spot is most popular for its fresh catch specials, but Mr. Fish also boasts a nice selection of sushi. Featuring a separate sushi bar, guests can escape the main dining area for a more relaxing atmosphere and some great sushi. You can still order from the regular menu, but the daily specials on the dry-erase board are your best bet.

Myabi: This Restaurant Row establishment is popular for its talented hibachi chefs and Myabi can accommodate large parties for dinner and a culinary show. But its sushi bar is excellent and patrons can still watch the chefs do their thing from a distance.

Soho: This trendy downtown bistro has an extensive menu to satisfy sushi lovers and haters alike, or for those who like a nice mix. Soho is also home to a vibrant after-hours scene for night owls with a taste for great sushi.

Wahoo's: Murrells Inlet is known as the Seafood Capital of South Carolina, and Wahoo's helps the town back it up with some of the best sushi on the Strand. Located on the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, Wahoo's is the only place among the dozen or so waterfront restaurants to serve top-notch sushi. Enjoy a great view of the inlet and occasional live music at the outdoor bar area.

Yamato: Located at Broadway at the Beach, Yamato offers excellent hibachi dining and a small but thriving sushi side bar. Talented hibachi chefs display their skills throughout the main dining room, but the separate sushi bar is low key and hosts one of the best happy hours in town.
