Looking for a place to team up and test your trivia knowledge while you’re in Myrtle Beach? We can help! The friendly staff at Paradise Resort is happy to point you in the right direction for the best trivia, as well as the best food and drinks to accompany your quiz quest. There are so many places along the Grand Strand that offer competitive and fun team trivia, and we’ve compiled a list of the best of the best for your vacation.

How about combining a little trivia with some of the best Mexican food on the beach? If that sounds good to you, then you’re going to want to keep your Thursday evening open for a fabulous Happy Hour and team trivia night at Burro Loco. Their trivia begins at 6:30 p.m., so you can enjoy their generous happy hour while sharpening and showing off your skills. House cash prizes are awarded to the winners — $50 for first place, $25 for second, and $10 for third. Burro Loco is just off of the Highway 17 Bypass on Jason Boulevard.

Next, let’s head over to the new heart of Myrtle Beach, The Market Common. One favorite team trivia destination in The Market Common is Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, located on Howard Avenue. You’ll want to plan on being there on Thursday evening, and the trivia begins at 7:30p.m. Gordon Biersch has one of the best craft beer selections in the area, and their menu offers a mouthwatering assortment for every taste. The prize packages include house cash in the amounts of $50 for first place, $25 for second place, and $10 for third.

While we are talking The Market Common, let’s look at King Street Grille, which is also located on Howard Avenue. Trivia night at the restaurant, which got its start in Charleston, South Carolina, offers house cash prizes in the same amounts as the trivia nights mentioned above. King Street’s trivia competitions begin on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. Voted the best sports bar in Myrtle Beach, King Street has a wonderful outdoor patio and bar for those warm summer nights. This isn’t your typical sports bar, however — King Street offers incredible scratch-made menu items such as their Chicken Chesapeake Sandwich, which you MUST try!

Leaving The Market Common and heading to the Intracoastal Waterway, we have The Boathouse. This is truly a locals’ favorite. Tucked away off Highway 501 — and away from the hustle of the city —this gem sits right on the water. The always relaxed and laid-back atmosphere hosts team trivia on Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. The Boathouse offers house cash prizes in the same amounts as mentioned above, but this location also offers a view of the water that you will come back to for their Boathouse Summer Concerts, which are always well attended by locals. (And with good reason — they are amazing!)

Now that we are west of the waterway, let’s head a little further inland into the local community of Carolina Forest. Here, you’ll find Handley’s Pub and Grub. For this trivia night, you’ll want to arrive early, as they take their trivia night and happy hour very seriously here. It’s a fun crowd of locals, and you will be welcomed with open arms and your own trivia board. Handley’s is so serious about their trivia that you have two options every week. You can make your plans to join them on either Monday at 7 p.m. or Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Play your game inside, or step out onto the covered outdoor patio and enjoy the night air.

While you’re staying with us at Paradise Resort, we are more than happy to help you with directions or even our own suggestions for the best area attractions. We want your Myrtle Beach vacation to be all that you have been dreaming of, and that includes your downtime with a little friendly competition while enjoying a great meal paired with refreshing cocktails.
