A Guide to Myrtle Beach’s Fall Festivals

To help you plan your next Myrtle Beach vacation, consider this list of local festivals and events happening this Fall.

Beach ‘n Chili Fest

 

When: September 29 – October 1, 2023

Where: Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place (812 N. Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577)

This year’s annual Beach ‘n Chili Fest will feature three days filled with live music, a car show, craft and retail vendors, chili tastings, and, of course, the 56th Annual World Championship Chili Cook-off. With a kid zone featuring bounce houses, games, and face painting, there’s fun to be had for the whole family at Beach ‘n Chili Fest.

Gate admission is free. Tickets are available for Lounge, VIP, and Judging passes for the World Championship Chili Cook-Off here.

 

Harvest Home Weekend Festival

 

When: October 7-8, 2023 9:30am – 4:30pm

Where: Brookgreen Gardens (1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576)

Kick off the Fall season with a bit of family fun at Brookgreen’s Harvest Home Weekend Festival. The festival is set to offer pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making, hay mazes, and live entertainment. Food vendors will include Let’s Ride BBQ, EZ Cheezy, and Kona Ice.

Taste of the Town

 

When: October 10, 2023 4pm – 10pm

Where: Myrtle Beach Convention Center (2101 N. Oak St, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577)

Noted as Myrtle Beach’s first food festival dating back to 1984, the Taste of the Town festival features tapas style dishes from the finest restaurants in the area. Originally organized by a team of parents as a fundraiser for St. Andrews Catholic School, the festival fundraiser is now one of the most highly anticipated local food festivals featuring many of the Grand Strand’s finest restaurants, live entertainment, culinary awards, and a silent auction.

Admission costs $6 prior to the event and $8 at the door; however, kids 14 and under are free. Each dish served costs between 1 and 5 food tickets, with each ticket costing $1.

 

Myrtle Beach Greek Festival

 

When: October 12-15, 2023

Where: St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church (3301 N 33rd Ave, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577)

Explore the tastes and sounds of Greek culture at the annual Myrtle Beach Greek Festival. This family friendly festival features traditional Greek food and pastries such as Souvlaki, Gyros, Baklava, and more. Other activities and entertainment include music and dancing, a tour of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, arts and crafts, and more.

Admission is $3 for adults while kids 10 and under are free.

 

Little River ShrimpFest

 

When: October 14-15, 2023 9am – 5pm

Where: Historic Little River Waterfront (4468 Mineola Ave, Little River, SC 29566)

Just outside of Myrtle Beach the 18th Annual Little River ShrimpFest promises fun for people of all ages. The festival will feature live music, balloon artists, stilt walkers, and over 100 vendors. Local waterfront restaurants will serve up shrimp and seafood dishes along with a variety of your favorite festival eats.

Admission to the festival is $7; however, kids 12 and under are free.

 

Loris Bog-Off Festival

 

When: October 21, 2023 9am – 5pm

Where: Loris Chamber of Commerce (4242 Main St​, Loris, SC 29569)

Thrown each year by the Loris Chamber of Commerce, the Loris Bog-Off Festival is the perfect event for some family fun. The festival promises entertainment, food, and a variety of vendors to keep everyone in your group entertained. The Loris Bog-Off Festival started as a chicken bog cooking competition in 1980 and still features its signature cook-off today.

Admission to the festival is free.

 

Brew at the Zoo

 

When: November 4, 2023 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Where: Lowcountry Zoo (1931 Brookgreen Garden Dr, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576)

An adults-only food festival, Brew at the Zoo is a local favorite held by the Friends of Brookgreen Gardens. Perfect for a date night, this year the festival will feature live entertainment by The Paul Grimshaw Band and a variety of food vendors, including Fish Shack, Let’s Ride BBQ and Surf Dawgs. Full size beer and wine beverages will also be available for purchase at the event.

Ticket prices vary depending on if you’re a member, non-member, or designated driver.
